Perfect Household Staff is proud to be assisting a highly refined formal household in Stocksfield, Northumberland in their search for a confident and adaptable temporary Butler. This is a rare opportunity to work within a distinguished estate during the UK shooting season, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The property is located in a beautiful rural area of Northumberland, surrounded by nature and renowned for its picturesque countryside. The family are warm, discreet and take great pride in running a well-managed household. The successful candidate will be joining a small team of experienced staff, including a Head Housekeeper, Private Chef, and Under Butler. A clean UK driving licence is essential due to the rural location and the nature of the duties. There is also a friendly spaniel on the property, so applicants must be pet-friendly.
This exciting position is suited to a professional Butler who is confident, composed and thrives in a dynamic private household. The working hours vary depending on the household schedule and events – standard days will be 9:00am to 5:00pm, whilst shooting days may extend to 7:00am to 10:00/11:00pm. A flexible and dedicated approach is therefore essential.
The successful applicant will ideally arrive the day prior to each shooting period to familiarise themselves with the property and assist with preparations. The role requires someone who is unfazed by challenges, discreet, trustworthy and capable of delivering the highest standards of service under pressure.
